A skirmish between crown forces and civilians while the crown force soldiers were returning from an attempt to stop a Republican arms landing in which hundreds of arms were unloaded from the ship Asgard. The landing was successful. Upon returning to Dublin and returning to barracks they had an altercation with civilians who were harrassing them. The soldiers opened fire and killed 4 while wounding 38.
