21 November 1920

12 british officers were executed around Dublin shortly after 9 that morning, in their homes and in parks, on the orders of Michael Collins. Later that day british auxileries and RIC opened fire on a civilian crowd at Croke Park watching a gaelic football match. 12 civilians were killed including 1 woman, 1 child, and a forward for Tipperary. that same evening 2 Dublin Brigade IRA men who had been picked up the day before, Richard McKee and Peadar Clancy, were shot and killed in a guard room at Dublin Castle. The british said they were trying to escape, but no proof has been shown for this. Their bodies were riddled with bullets, however they did not show signs of torture as sometimes has been stated.
