Born 1877-Died 4 May, 1916

 Born in New Ross, County Wexford. Moved to Dublin where he became secretary of the Gaelic League. Joined Irish Volunteers in 1914. Helped in planning of the Irish Rebellion and was shot by firing squad on 4 May, 1916. He had written a novel while in the Volunteers called "The Swordsman of the Brigade". Another novel "When the Normans Came" was published in 1918, two years after his death.
