Born 1902-Died 29 September, 1994

Born Co. Tipperary 1902, the youngest of seven children. His family were Republicans with a long history of opposition to the british forces. At 14 he was forced to flee school when the RIC (later RUC, now PSNI) began a campaign in which they arrested family members of Irish Republican Activists. He immediately joined the North Tipperary Brigade of the Irish Republican Army. Fought in War of Independance, as well as fighting the Irish free state after 1922. Was soon captured and imprisoned by the Irish free state and was freed in 1924.

Emigrated to America in 1927 due to lack of jobs for Irish Republicans in the free state. Spent the next decades assisting Irish Activists who needed refuge in America. Member of Tipperary Men's Assoc., GAA, and Clann na Gael. In 1970 he founded the Northern Irish Aid Committee to raise funds for the Irish Political Prisoners. After the Provisional Movements direction change (away from true Republican principles) in 1986, he supported RSF and the Continuing quest for a 32 county Irish Republic. After Returning from a trip to Ireland in 1987 he founded Cumann na Saoirse Naisiunta (National Irish Freedom Committee) along with George Harrison and Joe Stynes. It was founded in order to help pass the torch of Irish Republicanism on to those in America who have not forgotten Irelands continuing plight.

Was married to Margaret (Pearl) Eagan, whom he met shortly after arriving in America.
